Body of 21-year-old woman chewed up by rats in govt hospital mortuary

The body of a 21-year-old woman was allegedly chewed by rats in the mortuary of Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad.

However, the hospital authorities deny the negligence from the hospital's side and are conducting a departmental inquiry.

The body is of a woman, U Madhu who had committed suicide on Monday night and due to police suspicions, her body was sent to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem.

According to the reports, the woman was four months pregnant and was worried about losing her child as she had lost her first one.

The police informed that there were no harassment issues from the family.

The police are yet to book a case regarding the recent incident at the hospital as nobody has approached for a complaint.
