Team Spirit Productions was set up by a group of eight B Sc graduates from Andhra Loyola College. The youngsters have already gained good experience in the field, as they worked on a few short films that won several awards at state-level film festivals.

Team Spirit Productions was set up by a group of eight B Sc graduates from Andhra Loyola College. The youngsters have already gained good experience in the field, as they worked on a few short films that won several awards at state-level film festivals.

S Jagadeesh Sagar, who received an award from film producer Anil Sunkara for his short film ‘Vykunthapali’, which depicted how recommendations can destroy the reputation of a good institution, said, “We set up the production house to make creative and meaningful short films and documentaries to bring about a social change.”

The other members of the group are G Deepti, MSV Ratna Keerti, K Sireesha, Ch Hemanth, Sk Mansoor, N Linga Rao and U Jithendra Kumar. ‘Siddhantham’, a film on relationships and values, directed by Mansoor got the first prize at a college-level event and the award was presented by popular film director Sekhar Kammula.

The production house has several short films, documentaries and Public Service Ads (PSAs) to its credit. ‘Neti Bharatam’, a documentary on poverty in the country; ‘Chandamama Katha’, a suspense thriller; ‘Agenda’, a short film on Indian politics; and ‘Bhadyata’, a short film on the mindset of a voter, are some of their films.

PSAs on save water, save earth, protect environment, don’t drink and drive, Swachh Bharat and other relevant issues were also produced by the team. Though a few of them are pursuing their master’s degree in visual communication and the others are working in media houses, the team members are determined to work with spirit for a social change.
