Parvathaneni Brahmayya Siddhartha College of Arts and Science celebrated its 40th Sports Day on Saturday in a grand manner. Presenting the annual report at a function organised to mark the occasion, Siddhartha Junior College physical education director Sanjeeva Reddy said a good number of players from the college participated in several State and national level sports meets and brought laurels to the institution.

Presenting the annual report at a function organised to mark the occasion, Siddhartha Junior College physical education director Sanjeeva Reddy said a good number of players from the college participated in several State and national level sports meets and brought laurels to the institution.

In his annual report, Siddhartha Degree College physical education director N Srinivasa Rao said that 28 players of the college represented Krishna University at the South Zone and All India Inter University Tournaments. “Seven players of the college participated in the national level sports events and fared well,” he said.

Participating in the Sports Day celebrations as a chief guest, J Ram Mohan of University College of Physical Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University, lauded the Siddhartha Academy for encouraging the budding sportspersons by giving equal importance to education and sports, which enabled them to excel at various State and national level events.

Awards being given  away to students who made a mark in sporting activities

Later, he distributed prizes to the winners of various sports events. Degree college principal MVN Padma Rao presided. College director Vemuri Babu Rao, PG College director Krishna Murthy, junior college principal M Sambasiva Rao and others were present.
