Contrary to belief that Power star Pawan Kalyan was a TDP friendly agent, the power star has made a case against taking land away from farmers forcibly and expressed concern for the poor farm labour and small farmers .
In fact he wondered whether such huge land acquisition was necessary for building a capital city and why not start with small capital and grow year by year as its utilities and need enlarged.
' We don't need lands with tears of farmers. Such acquisition will cast bad impact on the new capital,' said Pawan Kalyan while addressing the farmers at Undavalli adding that 'If one village cries hoarse against land loss, it will not be a smooth sailing for the development and building of a new state.'
Pawan said he was also eager to build a world class capital but he was not keen on building it at the loss of land and tears of the farmers.
He says he will urge the ministers Prattipati and P Narayana to stop the notification in Undavalli village where farmers said they were ready to give lands if the government gave assurance of livelihood options for them.
He said he would appeal to TDP government to not grab the fertile lands from the farmers in the name of deadlines. 'From this moment I will fight for the farmers' rights and benefit and also plead with the BJP at the centre to change the clauses in the land acquisition ordinance so that the farmers are not put to difficulties and their livelihood options are not grabbed from them.
As soon he landed at Gannavaram airport the power star was was received by the TDP MLAs Vallabhaneni Vamshi and Bonda Uma to Undavalli on his days tour of CRDA villages.
