It feeds on dead skin on the feet and sucks the cells of epidermis.

It eventually cleans all the dirt. Even cracks in heels can be cured with the doctor fish. It is a natural and organic procedure of foot exfoliation. It also gives a gentle massage to feet for oxygenation. Fish pedicure also stimulates acupuncture points and relieves from eczema, besides making the feet smooth and shiny.

“Fish spa is a fun activity with a good health benefit. We have set up the spa in Vijayawada after a thorough research on fish pedicure. We have got assured supply of doctor fish for pedicure. We spent a lot of time initially on educating people on fish pedicure. Now we are getting a good number of customers,” said Fish Spa owner A Kalimohan Rao.

The whole thing is a new experience for them. “It’s new and really exciting,” said an enthusiastic young girl who underwent fish pedicure at the spa on condition of anonymity.
