Enchanting violin and vocal concert
The Vijayawada Cultural Academy organised a vocal and violin concert at Siva Rama Krishna Kshetram as part of Sri Thyagaraja Swamy Jayanthi celebrations on Friday. The programme commenced with a vocal duet by GRMP Nageswara Sarma and PA Krishna Rohit. The duo rendered Aparadhamulu in darbar ragam, Sobhillu Saptaswara in jaganmohini

The duo rendered Aparadhamulu in darbar ragam, Sobhillu Saptaswara in jaganmohini ragam and other Thyagaraja Swamy keerthans. Their melodious voice cast a spell on the audience.
Vocal duo P Sri Hamsini and Padma Sowmya presented an enchanting concert rendering Sangeetha Gnanamu in dhanyasi ragam, Bantureethi Koluvu in hamsanadam ragam and Rama Nannu Brovave in harikambhoji ragam. Ammula Prasad lent able support to the vocal concerts on mridangam.
The violin duet of Ganduri Srinivasa Murthy and VSPG Sivani was also impressive. The duo rendered Pakkala Nilabadi in kharaharapriya ragam as their main item, followed by Rama Bhakti Samrajyam in suddha bangala ragam and Manasa Etu in malayamaruta ragam, giving a musical tribute to the saint composer.
