Pawan spoils AP govt plans, Land Acquisition put on hold
The AP Government stopped issuing another notification for acquiring lands from local farmers for the construction of the new capital.
Has the Andhra Pradesh Government slowed down the process of Land Acquisition? Yes, it appears so. The AP Government stopped issuing another notification for acquiring lands from local farmers for the construction of the new capital.
TDP's friendly ally Jana Sena was critical of the AP government’s move. Jana Sena supremo Pawan Kalyan toured the villages and warned the Government against the Land Acquisition process. On the other hand, the main opposition party in the AP Assembly, YSRCP is getting ready for dharna on August 26 to protest against the forcible acquisition.
Given this scenario, the AP Government has reportedly decided to slow down the process and making efforts to persuade the farmers to give their lands voluntarily. It is learnt that Chandrababu told some leaders that they should refrain from it for some time as it will lead to further complications with Pawan in the long run.
No matter what is the exact reason, Pawan has managed to put breaks to land acquisition process in AP.
