The Hans Foundation (THF) announced a scholarship programme for 200 underprivileged children in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, which will run in partnership with HEAL Paradise village, a residential School for orphans and children from disadvantage communities in Thotapalli in Andhra Pradesh.

Under the programme, children between the age group of five to 16 years, who are either orphaned or raised by a single parent without any support, will be eligible for scholarship; children from vulnerable families (who are suffering from abuse or serious neglect in the family) will also be awarded a scholarship.

The programme is designed for children to get access to quality education, healthcare and residential facility for the next three years at HEAL Paradise village. Making the announcement, Lt Gen. S M Mehta, CEO, The Hans Foundation said, “Our constant endeavour is to reach out to economically weaker children who would play a vital part in the upliftment of the society.

The scholarship programme will enable young children to take the first step towards a strong foundation for a bright future so that they can ultimately achieve positive economic outcomes for themselves, their families and communities.” This is the second scholarship programme of The Hans Foundation with HEAL.
