With hardly any financial support and barely able to make both ends meet, these ‘nowhere people’ live with sheer grit and determination.
Women peep out of the plastic tents but their eyes speak a hundred ambivalent expressions of hope, agony, despair and anxiety. The children are oblivious of the fact that they have been driven out of their country play in the sand or just while away time.
If not for the indomitable spirit of their mothers who somehow make sure they get food, these children are able to sport a smile. With identity cards issued by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) as their only hope, they carry on living.
