Veteran administrator and currently Central Zone Secretary of Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) Koka Ramesh will be the manager of the Indian team that is embarking on a three ODI and three T20 matches tour of Zimbabwe from June 11. This comes as a fitting recognition to Ramesh, who was manager of the Indian Under-19 team that won the Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur in 2012.

Ramesh, who represented Andhra in various tournaments as a player before turning into administration, has held important posts in Krishna District Cricket Association, including as manager of various ACA Colts teams. Dr G Ganga Raju, Vice-President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that “in appointing Ramesh to the important post, the BCCI has reposed confidence in the administrators of ACA.

I am sure he will bring laurels to the country and the State.” “The appointment of Ramesh is yet another feather in the cap of ACA. With his administrative skills, he will of invaluable help to the Zimbabwe-bound Indian players,” said DVSS Somayajulu, President of ACA.
