Making data management efficient and accurate
A two day workshop on ‘Hadoop Technology’ was inaugurated at the SDM Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala here on Monday. The workshop organised in collaboration with BDPS computer education system aims to provide an overview of it.

Speaking on the occasion, BDS Director P Harsha said that the e-commerce sites which are into online shopping and transactions are using Hadoop technology and Bigdata to store the information. He elaborated on the three characteristics of Hadoop technology namely velocity, variety and volume, which aid in managing the data efficiently and accurately.
He further mentioned that corporates like google, flipkart, and amazon are taking the help of Hadoop and Bigdata to manage their information thus getting back to their respective customers at a greater pace. Students, who get trained in these technologies will nail opportunities very easily, he added. Principal of the College T Vijaya Lakshmi and faculty of Computer department were present during the inauguration of the workshop.
