The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada (CCV) in association with Young Indians (YI) an ancillary unit of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) have embarked on a heritage trek to the caves abode hills in Ambapuram located at the outskirts of the city.

The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada (CCV) in association with Young Indians (YI) an ancillary unit of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) have embarked on a heritage trek to the caves abode hills in Ambapuram located at the outskirts of the city.

These caves date back to the eighth century and are known as Swetambara Jain caves. Trekkers have got an opportunity to rejuvenate their minds, body besides getting to learn about the less known heritage sites in and around the city, said CEO of CCV, E Sivanagi Reddy.

Children and youth participated in the one kilometer trek, which is the first trip organised by CCV involving youth organisations. Regular heritage treks will be organised hereafter and interested children, youngsters can enroll their names with the CCV, he added.
