The Chevrolet Trailblazer was launched in India last year to compete against the Toyota Fortuner and the newFord Endeavour. However, initial response for the SUV has not been too great, partly due to its imposing, but a rather dull design. Also, the car had lesser chrome bits as compared to its rivals, and as we know, our populations’ relationship with chrome is still in its honeymoon phase. We just don’t seem to get enough of it.

For this, Chevrolet has decided to give its flagship SUV in India, a mid-life facelift. The test mule spotted in Pune was camouflaged better than Batman vs Superman’s plot (aww snap, please don’t kill me). With camouflage like that we can only spot major changes in the body design, which seem to be pretty much non-existent. However, the car that was showcased at the Bangkok Motor Show in March this year, carried a heavily revised front fascia.

The headlights were stretched out and had a sleeker look with the addition of LED DRLs, while a healthy garnish of chrome was provided on the grille. The rear remained more or less the same, with additional chrome inserts on the tail-lights and the rear fog lamps.

The alloy wheels too have received an upgrade, and the size has gone up to 18-inches. The test mule sported greyed out wheels which looked similar in design to the ones showcased in Bangkok. On the mechanical front, nothing is expected to change, as the update will just be purely cosmetic.
