CII’s Young Indians (Yi) Vijayawada Chapter and Sikhara Sahiti Sanskritika Vedika (SSSV) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday on promotion of Telugu literature in capital Amaravati.

The MoU was signed by Tarun Kakani, Chair Partnerships of Yi Vijayawada Chapter and Bandla Madhava Rao, President of Sahiti Vedika, in the presence of P Chandan Patnaik, Head of CII Vijayawada Zone.

As per the MoU, Yi and Sahiti Vedika will provide a platform for Telugu writers and poets to publicise their literary works, besides promoting reading habit among students.

Candidates preparing for competitive examinations can avail themselves of books and study material provided by Sahiti Vedika to libraries in the city. The aim of the initiative is to remove the fear of speaking in mother tongue and encourage students to express themselves in their native language.
