Volkswagen Ameo special care packages announced

The Volkswagen Ameo is a very special launch for the German company in recent years as the car is expected to sell in high numbers. The company is in a tight position to present the car as a premium offering but keeping it affordable enough for the vehicle to be adopted in high numbers. Thus to further sweeten the package, Volkswagen has introduced special care programs for its Ameo customers which include some additional services bundled with extended warranty for the car.

Volkswagen is offering two special packages for the Ameo, which are named as the and the Volkswagen Care Plus package. The Volkswagen Care package will include an extended warranty of two+one year/ 80,000 kms along with a Service Value pack applicable for 3 services for a period of 3 years/45,000 km, which includes protection from price inflation of parts and labour charges, pick up and drop facility and 24/7 roadside assistance (RSA) for two+one year.

Volkswagen Ameo customers who go for the Volkswagen Care Plus package get an extended warranty of two+two years/1,00,000 kms. The Service Value pack in this package gets coverage of 4 services in a period of four years/60,000 kms. RSA offered is valid for two+two years along with two free inspections in this package. A free exterior cleaning and a free dry wash are also offered, once in a period of four years.

Volkswagen has recently launched the Ameo in India with prices starting at Rs 5.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The compact sedan is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder MPI engine that is tuned to produce 73 BHP of power and 110 Nm of torque. Volkswagen says that the Ameo diesel will be arriving in the market towards the end of the year close to the festive season, while a DSG variant is also on the cards.
