Scholarships distributed by Asha Jyothi foudation
Asha Jyothi Foundation distributed scholarships worth Rs.10.5 lakh for students of various schools at the Foundation Office in Krishnalanka on Sunday. Ravi Varre, NRI, distributed the scholarships in memory of his relative.

Speaking at the event, Foundation’s Director G H Nanda Kumar said, “Asha Jyothi Foundation was working in various fields, including promoting education, health care. We distribute scholarships to about 3,000 students of government schools in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The criteria for selection is that the students should be semi orphan or orphan (single parent or parentless). Besides, they should have at least to get 60 per cent marks in studies.” Further, he said that they also encourage donors who were willing to bear 50 per cent of amount and they would be given opportunity in the selection of students.
