An enchanting Bhama Kalapam

Nagella Harsha Nandini presented Golla Bhama Kalapam at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in the city on Tuesday.

She commenced her Kuchipudi dance recital with `Amba Paraku Devi Paraku’. Later, she performed `Sivastakam’, `Mohini Daruvu’ and `Golla Bhama Kalapam’ reflecting her dance talent. Harsha Nandini captivated the audience with her expressions and Pada Vinyasam.

Tipirneni Vaishnavi also presented an impressive dance recital which featured `Kondalalo Nelakonna’, `Nagumomu Ganaleni’ and `Manasa Sancharare’ items. Dance master Bhagavatula Venkatrama Sarma rendered Nattuvangam.

Instrumental music support to the dance concert was lent by GS Raju on mridangam, Panyam Dakshinamurthy on violin and S Kumar on flute. Kumara Suryanarayana extended vocal support to the concert. Sr Gibi Antony, principal of Nirmala High School, who attended the event as a chief guest, underlined the need to uphold the rich Indian culture and traditions.
