Adivasi Ikya Vedika organised a 3K Run in the city on Tuesday to mark the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People.

Participating in the event as a chief guest, Andhra Pradesh State SC, ST Commission Chairman Karem Sivaji highlighted the significance of International Adivasi Day.
He exhorted Girijans to join the mainstream by properly utilising the schemes being implemented by the government for their economic uplift.
Adivasi Ikya Vedika chairman Timmasarthi Nageswara Rao said that a memorandum was submitted to the State Government on the occasion of Adivasi Day seeking effective measures for the empowerment of tribals.
