The president of Rotary club of Vijayawada, mid town, Tadiparthi Kishan Babu said that the club is organising youth service programmes from September 3 to 29. The club would adopt 13 municipal corporation schools and develop them to match with corporate schools, he said.

Kishna Babu also said that the club would give priority to school children and college students to promote talent in them. The club is going to organise sports, essay, quiz, elocution, drawing, dance, cultural programmes, he added.

Club is taking the concept of Happy Schools and wants to develop 106 municipal schools in a phased manner, he added. This year, the club identified 13 schools and they would spend Rs.75 lakh for its development.

Further he said that mid town club would conduct personality development workshops for college students. This time the club will be organising blood donation camp and as much as 800 bottles of blood will be collected from the youth, he said.

On September 11 club will organise Mini Olympic at VP Sidhartha Public School in Vijayawada. Olympian and Hockey player Rajani will be gracing the programme with her presence.

Mid town club secretary Maganti Krishna Prabu, youth services chairman K Prasad Chimmana, directors Yadla Pardha Saradhi, Mansoor Ahmed Syed, P Siva Sankar Yadav and others participated.
