SDMSMK wins chess tourney

Students of Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala (SDMSMK) won the first place in the Krishna University intercollegiate chess tournament held in the city from September 8 to 10 under the aegis of Siddhartha Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology.

The college won the chess tourney for the third consecutive year. M Prasanna Vani and J Mounika of the college were selected for the south zone inter-university chess tournament to be held at Vellore from October 8 to 11. College principal T Vijayalakshmi and faculty members on Monday congratulated the winners of the chess tournament.
