Memu Saitham programme in support of polio eradication
Rotary Club of Vijayawada Mid Town Hans convener T Praveena, on Sunday said that they will be organising ‘Memu Saitham’ on October 1 in the city to support the government in its endeavour to eradicate Polio.

Rotary Mid Town Hans committee inaugurated broacher of ‘Memu Saitham’ programme at Sidhartha Academy auditorium on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Praveena said that the programme will be organised in the city to raise funds for the polio eradication programme.
She added that over 1,000 women will be present at the programme as volunteers. Some competitions will be held for the entertainment of women. The Hans committee was expecting Rs10 lakh in donations to be collected through the programme and Rs 5 lakh worth of prizes to be distributed to the participants.
Praveena promised a donation of Rs 5 lakh to the International Rotary Club in support of the eradication of Polio programme. Hans committee members M Anuradha, Jyothi, Vaidehi, Rotary Mid Town president T Krishna Babu, secretary M Krishna Prabhu, Pulse Polio Chairman Ch Ramesh Babu were also present.
