The Organiser of NEHHDC Ltd, Chennai, Balasubramanian, the manager said that the exhibition will provide a variety of Artistic handloom products and Handicrafts collections produced from North Eastern parts of our country.

To promote sales of Handicrafts, Increase awareness on Handicrafts, expose crafts to the market and launch new products and designs for promotion and finally to rescue crafts persons from the clutches of middleman is the motto behind this exhibition.

About 50 craft personals from different North Eastern states Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura are participating. The participants are displaying their crafts, objects and also are giving live demonstrations of a few selected crafts, he said. Articles made of cane and bamboo baskets, cane and bamboo furniture, cane woven handicrafts, wooden handicrafts, Nagaland dry flowers etc. are some of the attractions of the exhibition.

The government of India has put its efforts to constitute, motivate and help crafts persons living in remote rural areas of the country to come together and have direct dialogue with buyers and art lovers, he added.
