Sri Durgamalleswara Ganesh Seva Samithi organised a social drama ‘Lalijoo… Lalijoo’ on Monday at Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.  The play was staged by Sri Sivakrishna Kalakarula Ananya Samakhya, Vijayawada.

ES Pavan Kumar, the writer and director of the play ‘Lalijoo.. Lalijoo’ tried to emphasise on the values of traditions and culture of our society. The play also depicts the need of love and affection, which was missing in the present families. The play also describe that the present writers should handle such subjects to create congenial atmosphere in the families and society as well.

Along with the director Pavan Kumar the other roles performed by E Vijaya Sagar, Garikapati Balagangadhara Tilak, Anil kumar, Cheruvu Adinarayana sastry, Ivaturi Lakshmi Kantarao, Chiluvuri Nageswara Rao, Vishnu Murthy, R Rajeswari and Y Bhavani .

The modulation of the artistes were clear and audible. The director should have taken care of set design, lighting, and grouping of artistes to make the drama more consistent. The drama was technically supported by Leelamohan (music), Ch Ganapathi (Make up).

The founder of the organisation Koganti Satyanarayana welcomed the audience in a meeting. Dr Turlapati Kutumba Rao presided over the meeting. KV Balaramakrishna Murthy, Uma Balaram, Dogiparthy Sankara Rao and others were present on the dais. Many of the audience opined to shorten the lengthy meetings.
