He said Andhra University would drive its research into green technology areas to make the research eco-friendly. Inaugurating ‘FOCUS 2016’, a national level CME programme on the Assisted Reproductive Technologies, organised by the Krishna IVF Clinic in Vishakapatnam on Sunday, the Vice-Chancellor said the concept of green technology has been gaining importance in the wake of environmental hazards.

He said that the human genome project has been helping international collaboration in research and mapping and understanding of all human genes. “Human genome would also revolutionise the entire human genetics and assisted reproductive technology,” he said.

Dr GA Rama Raju, Director of Krishna IVF Clinic, said that 350 medical practitioners and health scientists participated in the meet covering areas of diabetes and infertility, endometrium, DNA fragmentation, embryo whole genome sequencing and cell morphology.

Dr PV Sudhakar representative of Medical Council of India, Dr G Ramakrishna Raju, Dr Subba Raju, Dr V Sitarama Raju, Dr BV Sandeep, Dr Mirudhubasini, Dr Neena Malhotra, Dr Sandeep Karunakaran, Dr N Siddhartha, Dr Eric Desai, Dr P Thakur, Dr K Muralikrishna and others spoke.
