APSPDCL organises Energy Conservation Rally 

Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) organised an Energy Conservation Week rally in the city on Tuesday. Krishna district collector A Babu inaugurated the rally at his camp office and participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion Krishna district collector proudly said that Krishna district is in the first place in the country for use of Solar Pump sets. Every citizen should implement energy conservation in their day to day life, he suggested. Agriculture farmers have been using 1,400 solar pump sets in the district, he added.

The district collector further said that the state government has been implementing LED bulbs as street lights all over the district for lesser power consumption. He suggested to the youth that energy is very valuable and everyone should implement the energy conservation, which would helpful for the future generation.

Financial development and people welfare programmes will continue based on power sustainability, he said. Due to implementing energy conservation, 22 million units of power was saved in a short span and it was useful to overcome the power problem in the state, Babu explained.

SPDCL director Pulla Reddy, Chief Engineer Raja Bapaiah, DE Murali Mohan, DE (Technical) Sanjeeva Rao, SRK Engineering and KBL College students participated in the rally.
