Guinness World Records represents the ultimate achievement of a human being in the whole world. It is a dream for every human being to enter Guinness book at least once in their lifetime. That dream came true for ShaikHusnaSameera and AlladaPavan on December 26.

ShaikHusna Sameera and Allada Pavan have achieved a landmark milestone in their life by creating a new Guinness World Record on Longest Marathon Carrom playing for 34 hours 45 minutes and 56 Seconds on December 26.

Dandamudi Rajagopal Rao Indoor Stadium, Vijayawada vibrated with celebrations for achieving a new Guinness World Record. Starting at 8am on December 25, they played non-stop till 4.45pm and 56 seconds evening thereby a new Guinness record was set for playing Non Stop carrom for 34 Hours 45 Minutes and 56 Seconds.

As per the Guinness World Records guidelines, they have played each session for 4 hours and taken a break for 20 Minutes. The game was played and supervised and all the games are officially recorded by the Qualified Carrom officials.

For every four hours, there were two witnessing judges to ensure that the rules are followed.The entire event was co-ordinated by Squadron Leader Jayasimha, the chief co-ordinator of Guinness World Records.

The Earlier Record: 32 hours and 45 Minutes by Narayan Paranjape, AtulKharecha, PrakashKagal and PramodSen on 31 July 2005 at the Association office at Richardson Texas, USA.

HusnaSameera had achieved many laurels in the field of caroms. She won Bronze medal in sub Junior Nationals in 2012, 3rd Place in south Zone in 2010, 2011, 2012, Team Championship winner and singles Runner Up in 44th Junior Nationals-2016, Participated in 23 Nationals in all categories.

She had also played nonstop carrom for 18 hours, 18 mts and 18 seconds with 18 players, Also Nonstop Carrom for 20 hours, 20 Minutes and 20 seconds with 20 players. ShaikHusna Sameera is the student of Gayatri Educational Institutions.

Speaking on the event she said, the main purpose of the event was to bring more popularity to the game of Carroms and also inspire others to take up sports as a career. One who is good in sports would automatically excel in academics also.

Moreover, inspired by this, she would like to achieve many more laurels in her life and bring glory to the nation. She said, this event had really tested her physical fitness, mental strength, endurance, and Will power. But crossing the finishing line and entering the Guinness book had been her dream which got fulfilled.

She thanked all her coaches specially her parents. Her mother SajidaKhadar had really worked very hard to make sure that this event becomes successful.

AlladaPavvan is Runner up in Sub Junior nationals in 2007, 3rd place in Junior nationals in 2013, Runner up in senior state championship in 2014, Participated in 16 Nationals in all categories.

He is the sports quota recruitee from Andhra in Customs and Central Excise. Many Ministers and Officials have attended the event on both the days.
