Tollywood actress Shalu Chourasiya inaugurated the four-day 'Pochampally IKAT Art Mela 2016' at Sri Raghuraama Vedika (Patamata) in the city on Monday. Organised by Pochampally Handloom Park, the event is organised to promote handloom products and will be held till December 30.

Speaking after the inauguration, Shalu said that it was glad to see various types of apparel particularly fabrics, Ikat silk and cotton sarees showcased for handloom lovers. Dress materials, cotton sarees, handloom products, silk and other textiles and fabrics are available at the expo.

Pochampalli Handloom Park director Lava Kumar said that handlooms are part of an age-old Indian tradition and rich artistry.
