The Maruti Ignis has certainly built a lot of hype ahead of its official launch, which is on January 13. The car will be available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, with five-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. 

The Maruti Ignis has certainly built a lot of hype ahead of its official launch, which is on January 13. The car will be available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, with five-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.

Talking about fuel efficiency, the Ignis petrol will churn out 20.89 km/l while the diesel version produces 26.80 km/l (ARAI-claimed). On the safety front, Maruti is offering dual front airbags and ABS on all trims. Apart from that, you also get ISOFIX mounts. Maruti is also going to offer a ton of customisation options on the Ignis, including roof decals as seen in the picture above.

The Tinsel Blue exterior shade will come with Tinsel Blue accents on the inside too while the Uptown Red colour will get Red accents on some interior bits. Pearl Arctic White, Silky Silver, Urban Blue and Glistening Grey colours will be offered with Titanium accents on interior parts.

The kerb weight for petrol variants ranges from 820-875 kgs while for the diesel variants it ranges from 940-960 kgs. The fuel tank capacity is 32-litres while the boot capacity is 260-litres. The car has a ground clearance of 180 mm while the dimensions are 3700x1690x1575 mm for length, width and height respectively.
