Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu said walking is good for health after he flagged off the 13th, 10-K walk programme being conducted by the NRI Educational Institutions at Vidyanagar in Guntur on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the organisers for conducting the 10-K run programme for the last 13- years. He explained significance of walking. Later, he participated in the 10-k walk. He played guitar and danced with students.

MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad said that it is the 13th year they are conducting the 10K walk in Guntur city. He explained the significance of walking and thanked the participants for participating in the walk. MLA Nakka Ananad Babu appreciated the organisers for conducting the 10K walk. He said when we participate in the walking and sports, many talents are bound to come out.

Later, Ravela Kishore Babu, Raghubabu, Srilekha danced with students. Ravela Kishore Babu left balloons into the air and flagged off the 10-K walk. 10-K walk which started at Vidyanagar in Guntur passed through V idyanagar,Koretipadu , Ambedkar statue, Hindu College Centre, Nagarpalem Police Station Centre, Swami Theater, Gujjjanagundla, reached Vidyanagar.

Minister for Agriculture Prattipati Pulla Rao, distributed prizes to the prize winners in the 10-K walk. District collector Kantilal Dande, Guntur Mirchi Yard chairman Mannava Subba Rao, students of NRI Educational Institutions, Guntur Enginering College, Malineni Lakshmaiah Engineering College participated in the walk.
