Captivating of Rose Show
He informed the rose show will attract thousands of flower lovers as wide variety of roses will be displayed for the first time in Vijayawada city.
A four day state level Rose, Fruit and Flowers exhibition 2017 to be jointly organised by Haritha Priya plant lovers Society and Rose Society of Andhra Pradesh for the first time in Vijayawada with 600 varieties of roses with 7000 rose plants on display and sale at Abhyudaya college, Vasavi colony started yesterday, said the Secretary S Nehru of Rose Society of AP on Wednesday.
He informed the rose show will attract thousands of flower lovers as wide variety of roses will be displayed for the first time in Vijayawada city. Arrangements are on war footing basis for the four day event as the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is the Chief Guest of the event, along with Pathipati Pulla Rao, Agriculture for minister, Devineni Umamaheswar Rao, Irrigation minister, Kamineni Srinivas, Health minister and others would be attending the inaugural event, he said.
Competitions for class 6 to 10 are being organised like Drawing, Flower rangoli, Vegetable carving and elocution to mark the occasion. Competition for general public is also organised like potted flower plants, cactus and succulents, fruits and vegetable plants, bonsai plants, miniature garden, tray garden and cut flowers etc. The nursery owners from all over Andhra Pradesh would take part in the four day expo he added.
