The new Ridge electric scooter has been launched for the Indian market. It would appeal to buyers in the 18-60 age bracket. This new Ridge scooter promises a range of 80-90 kms on a full charge. It receives a high capacity 60V electric motor with 1200 W maximum power and 55-60 kmph speed while it also has climbing capacity of 10 degrees.

Features of the Ridge electric scooter are ample leg space and alloy wheels besides a digital speedometer and telescopic suspension. Central locking, anti theft alarm, tubeless tyres, under seat storage and loading capacity of 150 kgs are its major attractions while efficient performance in rural areas and capacity to tackle challenging terrain are also its highlights.

Charging under normal mode would take between 4-6 hours while under fast charge applications, the same could be accomplished in 1-2 hours. The e-scooter is being presented in striking color combinations of red, green/gold, red/white and white. Official launch date has yet to be announced when more details and prices will be revealed.

Okinawa Autotech would also promises to offer fast service facilities at buyer’s doorstep at no extra charge. Okinawa electric scooter is among the first of new generation electric scooters in the country. There are many more to come in this segment in the coming years. One of them being the made in India Ather S340, which made its debut last year.
