Andhra Pradesh Tennis Ball Cricket Association organised men and women state team selection trials at ZP High School, Veerapanenigudem of Gannavaram mandal in Krishna district on Wednesday. About 75 players came from across the state for the selection trails.

About 75 players came from across the state for the selection trails. The senior National Championship will be held at Jammu and Kashmir from February 10 to 13.

Tennis Ball Cricket International player Dasari Suvarna Raju inaugurated the selection trials. Speaking on the occasion, Raju said the Union government had recognised Tennis Ball Cricket and introduced it in the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). The game had evoked a very good response from foreign countries. Many National and International tournaments are being conducted in the state, he said.

State secretary of this game Ramba Durga Prasad said that he has been trying for the recognition of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh. The Krishna district association would conduct Junior Nationals at Vijayawada in November, he added. Veerapanenigudem ZP high school Physical Education Teacher (PET) Dhaniyala Naga Raju and others were present during the event.
