Suzuki has revealed the 2017 models of the Wagon R and Stingray for the Japanese market. The car launched in Japan comes with two engine options, petrol and hybrid. The hybrid version even differs in looks compared to the petrol version. The bumper differs in both versions and there have been some changes made to the headlamps of the vehicle.

The new Wagon R and Stingray get vertically stacked headlamps with some bits of LED lamps. Some changes have also been made to the front grille of the vehicle. The Suzuki hatchback now gets vertically shaped fog lamps. Now coming to the side of the car, both the Wagon R and Stingray seem to have followed the looks from the previous model. There are some distinctive changes that have been made at the rear. The tail lamps have now been placed at a different location and the roof mounted spoiler gets LED brake lights.

The 2017 Suzuki Wagon R has a good looking interior. The infotainment system now comes with a touch-screen and the gear lever has been placed on the dashboard. The seats now come with all black leather. The interiors used in the Stingray are the same as that of the Wagon R. The petrol engine used in the Wagon R is a 600cc, three-cylinder motor. This powerplant is good to produce 51 BHP of max power and 60 Nm of torque. The hybrid variant used here is the SHVS motor which the Indian market is familiar with as it is used in the Ciaz and Ertiga.

Suzuki also announced that they are working on a 4WD version of the Wagon R. This could be an exciting product when launched. 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 launched The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 has been launched in India, priced between Rs 4.58 to 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The hatchback is available in four trims in both petrol and diesel engine options with the oil burner getting an update in cubic capacity.

The Hyundai Grand i10 facelift gets a new cascading hexagonal front grille with LED DRLs placed right next to the fog lamps and an air curtain similar to the Elantra for improved aerodynamics. The bumpers have been redesigned with the rear getting the dual-tone treatment, with reflectors. On the side, the Grand i10 gets chrome door handles, roof rails and new 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels (low trims get a new wheel cover design).
The interior of the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 has been updated as well and the dual-tone beige and black cabin gets chrome and silver inserts. The new 7.0-inch touch-screen audio system in the Asta and Sportz (O) trims get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link, Smartphone navigation and voice recognition, it also gets a reverse parking camera with sensors. The Sportz trim uses a 5.0-inch touch-screen audio system with Bluetooth compatibility.

The top-spec Asta variant gets climate control AC and ABS as standard while a driver side airbag is standard on all trims of the vehicle while a passenger side airbag is only offered on the Sportz (O) and Asta trims. Hyundai has updated both the engines of the 2017 Grand i10. The 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol mill continues to produce the same 82 BHP and 114 Nm but uses low friction bearings, Alternator Management System (AMS) and improved engine oil viscosity levels, resulting in the mileage increasing by 4.6 per cent. The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 petrol returns a fuel efficiency of 19.77 km/l (the old model returned 18.9 km/l, as per ARAI).

The diesel engine has been updated and now displaces 1.2-litres (from the earlier 1.1), it is still a three-cylinder unit but produces more output at 74 BHP and 194 Nm, up from 70 BHP and 160 Nm respectively. The Grand i10 diesel returns a mileage of 24.4 km/l as per ARAI. The vehicle is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox while the petrol is also offered with the option of a four-speed automatic. The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 sees overall improvement to make it an even better hatchback than before. It is offered with a two-years, unlimited kms warranty.
