Roman Catholic Bishop T Joseph Raja Rao said that Gunadala is a symbol of religious harmony and a booming home for miracles to the devotees, irrespective of caste and religion, at the inaugural prayer of the three-day Gunadala Mother Mary Feast celebrations held at Bishop Gracy High School (BGHS) premises on Thursday.

Roman Catholic Bishop T Joseph Raja Rao said that Gunadala is a symbol of religious harmony and a booming home for miracles to the devotees, irrespective of caste and religion, at the inaugural prayer of the three-day Gunadala Mother Mary Feast celebrations held at Bishop Gracy High School (BGHS) premises on Thursday.

The Alter was decorated for the inaugural prayer of the feast, along with the Bishop, Monsignors M Prasad, M Gabriel and Rector E W Jaya Raju, and others lit the lamp to begin the Feast and the holy Mass. The Bishop said that the Mother Mary Feast was organised for the past 90 years, and the Mother Mary Feast is globally popular. February 11, the birthday of “The lady of Lourdes (Lurdh Matha)” is marked as World Health Day by (W.H.O.), said the Bishop.

He said that Jesus was born through Mother Mary and with faith, devotion and prayer everyone would reach Heaven. The devotees would see miracles if they sincerely pray with faith to the Holy Gunadala Shrine. Christians and non-Christians also would visit the holy Shrine and pray. Cultural programmes were organised. Biblical book stalls were opened and religious events were held for the visiting devoties.
