The Valentine’s Day celebration has started long back as ancient roman tradition in the third century. The February month is celebrated as the month of romance in many parts of Europe. This tradition is gearing up year after year in India too.

Most of the youth are using electronic gadgets to greet their valentine. Bakery shops in the city have made some arrangements to attract the customers on Valentine Day said Ravi kumar, owner of Cherrys sweets and Bakery shop on MG Road. He said that they are prepared to sell gift packs with chocolates, cakes and sweets for the customers pick-up.

Florists in Vijayawada have a mixed reaction when asked about the arrangements made for the valentine day. Rakesh of Spandana florist said that he gets orders online, and most of them from abroad. Customers making their deleviry bookings online and we deliver the items ordered.

K Subba Rao father of an engineering student said that students these days forget to wish their parents on their birthday and anniversary but they don’t forget to celebrate and greet their beloved ones.
