Maruti Ciaz Facelift variants leaked

Maruti is going to launch the Ciaz facelift in April 2017 and the C-segment sedan will now be sold from NEXA dealerships. The variants of the updated Ciaz have been leaked ahead of the vehicle’s launch.

The Ciaz facelift will be offered in five trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha and Sport. The initial four variants are shared with other NEXA cars but the Sport trim is a new one. The Sport variant will come with a body kit and spoiler similar to the Ciaz RS. All the variants will be offered in a petrol MT or diesel MT configuration. Petrol AT will be offered in Delta, Zeta and Alpha trims.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Ciaz facelift. It will get the same 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine also gets a 4-speed AT unit. Maruti is likely to launch a taxi variant of the Ciaz too, aimed at fleet buyers.
