Celebrating Buddha
Buddha Jayanthi celebrations were conducted by Vijayawada Buddhavihara in association with AP Creativity and Cultural Commission, Sidhartha Academy and Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravathi.

Mandali Buddha Prasad, Deputy Speaker, Andhra Pradesh Assembly said that discourses of Buddha are very essential for today’s society. He added that peace, joy and universal friendship could be achieved with the messages of Buddha.
A 20 minutes video vas presented depicting the importance of Buddhism in this event. Another thought provoking dance ballet “Dhammam Saranam gachami” was also staged by the team of Ramesh on this occasion.
President of Vijayawada Buddhavihara, Golla Narayana Rao presided over the meeting and Gumma Sambasiva Rao, Dr Borra Govardhan, Siddhartha Academy president Nalluri Venkateswarlu, Dr Borra Govardhan, Rekha Krishnarjuna Bodhi, Matta Jhansi Rani and others were present at the meeting.
