Senior Curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Dr John Guy had visited the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) on Wednesday, as part of the a Special exhibition on Buddhist Heritage of Andhradesa in connection with the 150 th year foundation day celebration scheduled in 2020.

Senior Curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Dr John Guy had visited the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) on Wednesday, as part of the a Special exhibition on Buddhist Heritage of Andhradesa in connection with the 150 th year foundation day celebration scheduled in 2020.

CCVA CEO Dr Sivanagi Reddy, briefing the activities of CCVA, explained on the importance of more than 200 Buddhist sites of the State including Art, Architecture, Relic Caskets and Inscriptions to showcase in the proposed exhibition at New York.

Dr Guy was impressed upon the exhibition on ’Preserve Heritage for Posterity’ scheme launched by CCVA to sensitise the Local communities in safeguarding the Heritage Properties. Andhra Nagari and Andhra Patham, Books author Sai Papineni Malaxmi Property CEO Sandeep Mandava and others were present.
