On the successful completion of ‘Paryushan Maha Parv’, the most important festival of Jains all over the world, a religious procession was organised with the blessings of Sadhviji Sri Yashaprabhasriji on Sunday. The festival began on August 18 and concluded on 25.

On the successful completion of ‘Paryushan Maha Parv’, the most important festival of Jains all over the world, a religious procession was organised with the blessings of Sadhviji Sri Yashaprabhasriji on Sunday. The festival began on August 18 and concluded on 25.

The purpose of the festival is to repent for the sins committed through the year. Usually Jains observe a fast during the eight-day festival. Kalpasutra, the sacred religious scripture is recited by the Gurus during the festival. Radh yatra, a procession by the Jains was started from Jain Temple situated at Marwari Temple Street.

The Idol of Bhagawan Sambhavnath was taken through main streets of Samarangam Chowk, Hindu High School, BRP Road, Bhavanarayana Street, Sivalayam Street and culminated at Jain Temple. Sri Sambhavnath Jain Swethambar Murthy Pujak Sangh, president Mohanlal Golecha, secretary Pannalal Jain and others were present.
