The vocal concert of Malladi Karthika Triveni, was arranged for by by Laya Nada Kala Sravanthi (LANKAS) in the city. Three concerts were organised on the third day of weeklong music festival held at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in memory of music legend Lanka Venkateswarlu.

The vocal concert of Malladi Karthika Triveni, was arranged for by by Laya Nada Kala Sravanthi (LANKAS) in the city. Three concerts were organised on the third day of weeklong music festival held at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in memory of music legend Lanka Venkateswarlu.

On Thursday, the concerts commenced with the vocal duet of Rajanala Anilkumar and Rajanala Manisantan (Hyderabad). The artistes started with the varnam in Shanmukhapriya ragam and continued with the keerthanas like ‘Gam Ganapati’ in Hamsadwani ragam, ‘Sobhillu Saptaswara’ in Jaganmohini ragam, ‘marugelaraa’ in Jayantasri ragam, ‘Bho sambho’ in Revathi ragam and ‘Govinda Goninda’ in Brindavani ragam.

Able instrumental support was given by R Vijayalakshmi on violin. K Madhavi commenced the vocal concert with Saveri varnam and rendered ‘Sri Madhurapuri’ in Bilahari ragam and Thillana in Ragesri ragam. R Vijayalakshmi supported Madhavi on violin and K Aravind accompanied on mridangam.

The third day festival winded up with the impressive vocal concert of Malladi Karthika Triveni. She chose Natakunji varam as first item followed by ‘Ganapate Mahamate’ in Kalyani ragam, ‘Parvate ninu’ in Kalgada ragam, ‘Ganga tirata’ in Amrutavarshini ragam and ‘Balagopala’ in Bhiravi ragam. Karthika Triveni concluded the concert with Thillana in Mohanakalyani ragam. The concert was supported by H Ramacharan on violin, B Suredhbabu on mridangam and SV Phanikumar on Ghatam.

As a part of vocal competitions, Chavali Venkata Lakshmi Lavanya and VRK Vidya participated in junior and senior divisions. Lanka Balasubrahmanyam, the founder said that the competitions are being conducted every day before the commencement of the regular concerts. He also clarified that in total seven in junior division and seven in senior division will be selected for a final judgment
