Vijayawada dipped in Navarathri festivities

The festive spirit of Navarathri is renting the air and the devotees are making a beeline to offer prayers to Goddess Durga in the city. A team of percussionists from Kerala has been specially flown in, to add the fervour of festivity with their special performances on drums on Sunday.

As devotees are flocking to the temples on this joyous occasion they have to wait for at least 30 minutes for “darshanam” of the Goddess. Joining the festivities AP special protection force commandant K Nageswarao and his wife performed puja in the temple. The temple also served food to the devotees in this regard.
