A fun Sunday

Several hundred youngsters joyfully participated in the Happy Sunday programme organised by Vijayawada Municipal Corporation in association with some NGOs on the BRTS road in Satyanarayanapuram. Students enthusiastically danced and sang songs to exhibit their talent. Some student performed Kuchipudi on the occasion. The VMC conducts the Happy Sunday in different parts of the city to encourage youth to participate in cultural and music programmes. Youth played events like Volley ball, badminton and other games. The civic body made arrangements for the weekly event and Doondi services, event management extended support.

At Rajamahendravaram:
The 50th Happy Sunday programme was celebrated with gaiety and pomp at Pushkarghat in Rajamahendravaram here on Sunday morning.
Various cultural programmes by students impressed the audience. The programmes commenced with Mrudangam of Vijaya Shankar Music and Dance School. Students of Radha Krishna Kala Kshetra gave a classical dance programme followed by yogasanams by Talwakar students and Tummagunta school students performed folk dance.
