Speaking to The Hans India, here on Thursday Kora Naga Rajeswari has said that she joined in NCC while studying in the eighth class in Schade School and is continuing in NCC till now.

She obtained an NCC A certificate at the school level and B certificate in intermediate. She also participated in a training programme as part of B certificate held at Raipur in Madhya Pradesh state. Plans are afoot to get C certificate and she is working in that direction.

She further added that she is the only candidate selected for 12-day Thal Sainik training held in New Delhi in advanced rifle shooting, map reading, health, cleanliness, crossing of barricades and how to measure distances etc.

As many as 300 NCC cadets from third Andhra Battalion of Kakinada participated in the training. She said that her goal is to become an army officer in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

She belongs to Vedullapalli village in Sitanagaram mandal in East Godavari district and hails from an agriculture family.
