Thousands of devotees thronged the Shiva Temples in various parts of West Godavari district on the last Monday of Kartikam Masam. One of the Pancharama Kshetram Bhimavaram witnessed a huge crowd of devotees.

The Pancharama Kshetram (Bhimavaram) witnessed thousands of devotees on the last Monday of auspicious Kartika Masam.
Devotees from various parts of the State reached Bhimavaram town in buses, and visited the Lord Uma Someswara Janardhana Swamy temple at Gunupudi in Bhimavaram town. This temple is famous among the Pancharama Kshetrams, as the Shiva Lingam changes its colour to white during full-moon day and brown colour on the no-moon days. The devotees including women and children thronged this famous temple from the wee hours of Monday.
Around 500 RTC and private service buses filled with devotees, reached Bhimavaram. The Temple Governing Body President Ranga Raju and Executive Officer made elaborate arrangements in view of the crowd. The police also made elaborate security arrangements at the temple.
The Uma Someswara Swamy temple in Sajjapuram, Tanuku mandal witnessed a heavy rush of pilgrims on the last Monday of the Kartika month. The temple priests conducted the Abhishekam to Lord Shiva in the temple. The temple authorities are making arrangements to conduct Laksha Bilwarchana and Kumkumarchana on November 16. In Narsapuram, hundreds of devotees took a holy dip in River Vasistha Godavari from the early hours and visited the temples on the river bund.
Pancharama Kshetram and Palacole are also packed with pilgrims. The priests of Ksheera Ramalingeswara Temple performed Abhishekam to the Lord and offered special prayers.
