CM cheating people on Polavaram: MLA Gopireddy
YSRCP MLA Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy on Friday said that the State government was not in a position to complete the Polavaram project.
Narasaraopet: YSRCP MLA Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy on Friday said that the State government was not in a position to complete the Polavaram project.
He told reporters that the project site engineers had informed him that diaphragm wall construction would take at least another year.
He questioned the Minister for Irrigation as to how CM would get funds to the tune of Rs 25,000 crore for the completion of the Polavaram Project. He said there was no permission for the construction of upper coffer dam.He said that out of 14 lakh cubic meters of work, so far only 4-lakh cubic meters of work was completed.
He alleged that the contractor was not in a position to pay salaries to the staff working in the project. He said CM Chandrababu Naidu was cheating people saying that he would complete the project by 2018-end.
