SP warns against using loud speakers

Guntur: Rural District Superintendent of Police Ch Venkata Appala Naidu urged the people not to make much noise at religious places of worship. He said that the elders and children who were already suffering from heart ailments would suffer further from the noise. He said that conducting religious rituals with blaring audio systems is a cause of inconvenience to the locals.

He requested the organisers of religious ceremonies to use mikes, put sound boxes, and reduce sound to check sound pollution. He pointed out that while conducting the rituals, a large number of devotees parked their cars on the roads. He warned that those who were violating the orders would face stern action from the police.
