Throw Ball Senior Nationals from Dec 24
The Andhra Pradesh Throw Ball Association, the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh and the Vikas Educational Institutions will jointly organise the 40th Senior National Throw Ball Championship for men and women at Vikas College in Nunna from December 24 to 27.Â

About 25 states will participate in the four-day championship on league cum knockout basis.
AP Throw Ball Association president T Murali Krishnam Raju, Secretary Eda Sulochana, Vikas Educational Institutions secretary Naredla Satyanarayana Reddy visited and inspected the college ground on Sunday and appeared to be pleased with its condition.
Later, the association secretary Sulochana told reporters that this is the first senior national Throw Ball championship to be held in Andhra Pradesh post the state’s bifurcation.
“Earlier in 2009, combined AP had been hosted the senior nationals at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium,” she said. So far, 20 state teams were confirmed entries to participate in the nationals.
She further said that all the men and women’s teams would start reaching the venue from the evening of December 22.
Moreover, she said that Gannavaram MLA Dr Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan would inaugurate the prestigious championship on December 24. “Throw Ball Federation of India Chairman Kamal Goswami, President Bala Bachan, Secretary General Naresh Mann and others will participate,” she added.
