Addressing the gathering, ABVP state executive member Chenna Ram demanded that the government release funds for fee reimbursement and scholarships. He wanted the government to fill vacant teacher posts and increase mess charges according increasing rates. He asked the government to construct permanent buildings for hostels.
He urged the government to make an announcement on students’ suicides. He requested Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naiidu to fulfill promises made to the students at the time of elections.
Later, ABVP leaders submitted a memorandum to the district revenue officer K Nagababu requesting to accept their long pending demands.
