Quacks defaming Private Medical Practitioner
The 55th PMP’s (Private Medical Practitioner) Foundation Day was observed at Aruna Hospital here on Monday.Mayor Sunkara Pavani was the chief guest at the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that the PMP’s services were very important in rural areas. She also said that once she also utilised the services of a PMP.
Speaking on the occasion, East Godavari District PMP Association president KSN Babu informed that because of the some PMPs’ activities and detachment from medical ethics, the entire PMPs lost dignity in society. He made it clear that they would take legal action against quacks posing themselves as PMPs.
He also said that they were just doing the first aid for the patients. He also informed that there were 12,000 trained PMPs working in the state and from January onwards, they would conduct training classes to all the PMPs.
Kakinada City PMPs Association president Yedukondalu said that all the PMPs were welcoming the GO NO 465 released by the state government.
Corporator G Satvathi, Seshagiri Rao, Hima Bindu, Venkata Satish, Nagabhushanam, Chinna Rao, Raju, Prasad and other PMPs participated.
