Rajamahendravaram: CPM state executive committee members, Dr Midiyam Baburao and M Krishna Murthi have said that the party's two-day district-level meetings will be held on January 4 and 5 in the city. The meetings will be held once in three years, they said.

Speaking to reporters, the two leaders said that the party would review its activities during the past three years and elect new executive body for next three years. Because of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his strategies, the development of the state was hampered, they alleged.

They further accused the Chief Minister of setting aside the problems of four lakh evacuees of Polavaram project and trying to construct the project. The CPM would not be a mere spectator if the government marches ahead with the construction of the project without paying compensation to evacuees of the project, they warned.

“Why is the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, not ready to present white papers on Polavaram project?” they questioned. So far, no new jobs were generated in the state as assured by the Chief Minister at the time of elections, they charged.

CPM district secretary T Arun said that the meeting starts at Subramanya Mydanam at 2 pm on January 4. The party state secretary, C Madhu and state leaders would also participate in the meeting. He appealed to all party members to attend the meeting.
